All cops are bad. If you disagree then you’re a fascist or at the very least complacent with fascism.

Are a lot of them bad, yes. Is the current policing system fucked and skewed to be filled with personal bias, yes. I agree with this for the most part, however, as a cop myself, I’m trying my best to change the system at least at my own department.

I’d tweak that to say that all cops in western imperial core countries are bad. Even in an ideal beautiful future where we overturn capitalism there will have to be something comparable to the police, and unlike pigs in America they’d have actual popular legitimacy

Just because someone disagrees with a sweeping generalization that you make doesn’t automatically make them fascist. When are people like you gonna stop regurgitating extreme labels onto people over minor things or differences in opinion?

lowk what’s the logic of being able to fix a broken system as a fixture of said broken system

Being able to change the culture of it from the inside with more public relations, De-escalation training, community policing and so on. And then becoming a training officer, teaching future officers right and wrong. I see your point that one officer from a small department isn’t going to do shit for the masses but I at least want to try

that’s good but like what i mean is that’s not exactly changing the system yk? that requires a lot more than one person and on more of the macro level. not as much of a solution as it is slightly alleviating the existing issues if that makes sense. like taking medicine to reduce the impact of cold symptoms instead of taking something that’ll directly attack the virus

Oh yeah I totally get where you’re coming from. I would totally be behind any law that gets passed that would change the system as well, but we wont see something like that for at least 3.5 years or so (hopefully).
