Literally trillions are spent fighting these problems every year.

Maybe I am too far gone, but there are some problems are intentionally not solved because there are big corporations that profit off of the problems. Getting rid of fossil fuels is a great example of this. Another example would be the healthcare industry. Private hospitals rely on profits from sick people. When you cure the sick people, you don’t make money off of them anymore. Instead, the healthcare system is focused on treating symptoms of diseases than curing the actual disease.

Most fossil fuel companies would be perfectly happy to profit off of renewables instead. They’re already planning for the pivot. Exxon said they’re going to invest $30 billion in renewable energy over the next 5 years for example. People are willing to pay significantly more for cures than treatments. Tons of money is invested into looking for cures for cancer and other diseases.
