Idk im believing that the Bible was edited so many times to be its most misogynistic form so It’s hard for me to believe most Christian takes now days but also this one. Like #2 said Yahweh supposedly had a wife that now is taken as an evil pagan god when I hear of her in Christian circles so I’m questioning everything
yeah especially considered that it’s now widely agreed that the pastoral epistles weren’t written by paul and were trying to establish hierarchy in the church. that said i think the church/humanity itself is supposed to be the replacement wife with the whole “bride of christ” thing
because there’s only so much they can refute the fact that biology literally gives women wombs + most cultures have childbearing done by women because it’s less dangerous than hunter/gatherer stuff (if a village loses all of its men, that’s less tragic than losing all of its women)
