Certain fields yes. Any important sociopolitical matter needs multiple perspectives. I do not think inclusion should be prioritized over merit, though. Which is where I tend to butt heads w people. I agree with #3.

Friendly reminder that the people who benefited the most from DEI as it existed were white women! I am all for equity and support DEI but also think it needs to be improved to help more people

True but additionally, DEI programs only matter if they're combined with or expanded into overall workers right reforms imo. The majority of black and brown people aren't in an economic position to even enjoy the benefits of DEI since it mostly affects college educated workers in academia and the professional classes. Universal workers rights 👍🏾😎👍🏾
