Walkable cities being a dog whistle is crazy work. I don’t think OOP was trying to be fatphobic; it’s just a lot of the US’s systems work against its citizens and being healthy and while I do think there are factors outside our control (genetics) I don’t buy the idea that the obesity rate is fine, obesity doesn’t lead to some negative outcomes, and the American lifestyle (as a whole not individually) is healthy and shouldn’t be changed.
