Than we’ll pay more taxes. If countries like Australia, Canada, Britian, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, heck even Albania can have free healthcare than why not us?

you are trying to get me to say because americans are greedy, but imagine you work a trade and at the end of your 12 hour a day 80 hour a week shift you have to pay an astonishing 33% income tax, now imagine someone advocating to raise taxes

Claiming that free healthcare would make us pay more is just bullshit. Yes, it would come from taxes. We spend almost $4000 more per capita on healthcare than Switzerland, $5000 more than Germany, almost $6000 more than Sweden, and over $6000 more than France, Canada, Australia, the UK, and Japan

We already pay money for our healthcare. That’s just through insurance or through massive out of pocket costs. Think of government healthcare like insurance but for the whole country. We all pay into it so that when some of us need it, it’s paid for. With the MASSIVE benefit that you don’t have costs being artificially inflated, that you have less incentive to deny treatment, and that it isnt costing more to pay for rich shareholders

That’s the thing we miss here in the conversation. We are all ALREADY paying for healthcare. And we are paying WAY MORE for on average worse quality healthcare. A government system would save us money because you wouldn’t have to feed into insurance or pay out of pocket costs.
