It’s more complex than that. A large part of MAGA are people who genuinely trusted that Trump was going to route out the sick and perverted corruption that ruled our political system. Now that it appears he’s not the solution they hoped, it’s not like they really have a place to go other than amorphously floating in the center because they still believe in strong borders, 2A, and protections for women’s sports.
