Fair enough, better than a few hundred thousand more people die. A few more billions get spent on weapons. A few more kilometers become uninhabitable.

Capitulating to Putin won’t stop him. Then much more people will die. Large stretches of the world would be uninhabitable. There’s no middle ground here. Russia cannot stop. Russia can only be stopped.
