i think the protests were performative yes. but in a good way. the gvt doesn’t gaf. but people across the world can see that the people aren’t supporting ts. thats the benefit, that people across the world understand we hate him as much as they do.

My claim also goes back to my own broad statement about protests

Credit gets taken away when we realize paid protesters get paid big bucks to show up to rallies/protests on both sides.

yeah but ppl abroad don’t know that. it just looks like a person. i think if we have any chance as the citizenry, they have to start seeing us as on their side. theyve grouped us all tg atp. trust i get ur point. but the american ppl need publicity rn

Do you have any proof that they’re paid?

I’d argue we’re being internationally ridiculed for, at most, engaging in parades masking as protests instead of organizing actual strikes, walk-ins, and more (talking specifically about the no kings organizers, and their funding) this shit doesn’t help, mass attempts at revolution and resistance helps. all it looks like for people outside of America is that we’re not taking this shit seriously and people are gleefully expressing their privilege in our tiered nation.

if it leads to some mass action organized by the people attending, then maybe that changes a bit, but it’s important to think about the actual intentions of the organizers and their donors, especially when it’s seemingly only focused on raising awareness for the MIDTERM and not meaningfully organizing the working class

Paid Petitioner https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=a449521f964aab7c&from=appshareandroid Really just look into crowds on demand. Mind you it lists you have to be a registered democrat to work for them. Strange if you ask me but it’s proof dumbo. You have google for a reason

I don’t know how publicity can help rn with how everything is monitored and algorithmically sorted on the internet, but I agree with your point of starting movements to see where we stand in the U.S currently

The link you sent didn’t work, but similar job descriptions show that the petitioner is working to spread messaging and communicate with voters. It doesn’t show that protesters are paid

Look up “Crowds on Demand.” You’ll see the words “Paid,” and “Protesting.” Please, you have access to the internet and you didn’t bother using it.

You are the one making the claim, and should have evidence to back it up. Also a service existing that allows you to hire crowds is not proof that any of the no kings protesters are paid

Bringing up “No Kings protesters being paid” is a straw man. I didn’t claim that specific group was paid, so arguing against that point avoids addressing what I actually said. If you want a real discussion, respond to my actual claim, not a weaker version of it. I also agree claims need evidence, but you’re setting a double standard, saying it’s not proven is fair, acting like it’s impossible isn’t. I’m done here but you are a reason modern politics is dumb to do nowadays

Why would you even bring it up when the OP was clearly referring to the No kings protest?

Brother the post is a broad statement. Him could mean anyone from Trump to local officials.
