I’d argue we’re being internationally ridiculed for, at most, engaging in parades masking as protests instead of organizing actual strikes, walk-ins, and more (talking specifically about the no kings organizers, and their funding) this shit doesn’t help, mass attempts at revolution and resistance helps. all it looks like for people outside of America is that we’re not taking this shit seriously and people are gleefully expressing their privilege in our tiered nation.
if it leads to some mass action organized by the people attending, then maybe that changes a bit, but it’s important to think about the actual intentions of the organizers and their donors, especially when it’s seemingly only focused on raising awareness for the MIDTERM and not meaningfully organizing the working class
Bringing up “No Kings protesters being paid” is a straw man. I didn’t claim that specific group was paid, so arguing against that point avoids addressing what I actually said. If you want a real discussion, respond to my actual claim, not a weaker version of it. I also agree claims need evidence, but you’re setting a double standard, saying it’s not proven is fair, acting like it’s impossible isn’t. I’m done here but you are a reason modern politics is dumb to do nowadays
