I was an English major at one point actually. Still love the arts, but sometimes I want to separate my passions from my career. Not that I dislike what I’m going into either, but it’s something I can separate myself from bc it’s not really hobby material

Yeah that makes sense. I was a criminology major at first and eventually I realized how few careers there are with that other than some variety of cop or lawyer, and since I’m not interested in either of those I switched to English (since my minor was already English-adjacent anyway)

The comics weren’t written by someone mentally thirteen first of all, so that helps a lot. Second of all, they couldn’t even get the character of Superman right in that film, so that should give you an idea of how bad it is

You can't be all "Superman has the American spirit" without acknowledging the violent revolution that *we* led against the British for our independence. Maybe you should analyze our nation's history more than superhero media and you might learn something new.

It’s admittedly been quite a while since I’ve read any comics, so I’m partially going off memory here. But zod in the comics was a lot more intelligent, less militaristic (though it is still there), and wanted to make Earth like krypton not in the sense of literally transforming it, but by changing the society to be as such
