So why is a morning show host’s likely-dementia-ridden mom disappearing taking up the headlines? From what Ive read there is little to no evidence of an actual kidnapping and it’s way more likely she did what thousands of elderly people do and walked away

Plus the host’s viewer base is mostly older upper middle class+ college educated liberals so there would be no point in distracting such a demographic, they already despise Trump.

Didn’t they just say the ransom note was illegitimate? Also cases of elderly people with dementia/alzheimers do sometimes see what look like signs of struggle actually being the person having accidentally hurt themself in one way or another
