This is forced. It takes away consent and criminalizes homelessness.

I think they already consent to being homeless considering how they waste the state subsidy services that taxpayers prop up.

Homelessness and addiction arent inherently bad themselves but the most arent “criminals” simply because of this fact alone. Not saying that this population should not be helped, they should, or in your words criminalized, but this population shouldn’t grow unchecked or be incentivized with checks and homes

They are human beings and have rights. This infringes on them.

what rights has anyone had in the history of humanity to a modern “home” and lack of addiction? Who pays those bills?

Are you moronic? They are stripping people of their free will and going to forcefully institutionalize them for being homeless or having an addiction. We are al one bad day away from being homeless. This is just another way to criminalize mental illness and poverty.

No. Understand what i’m saying. Those who burn all loose ends and become homeless do not justify taking from those who are successful, with the threat of violence, and hoping the *government* solves the problem. Go ahead. Offer the homeless man or addicted man off the street your home. But dont enforce that on the masses in yhe name of sOciAL jUsTiCe

No but people have a right not to be kidnapped from the streets. You understand most “rehab” centers are prisons and have horrible conditions correct? You understand when the government can order homeless people to be rounded up that’s dangerous right?

No one is saying to let them into your home. They are saying treat them like a human being who is sick not a criminal. Jfc have some empathy

Are you stupid? We are all 1 bad day away from being homeless in this hellscape. They are going to throw homeless people in prison- that’s going to cost taxpayers far more if that’s all you’re concerned about.

They have substandard conditions because we wasted too many resources to people who gamed the services to remain homeless but with free phone services and food

They are substandard bc we don’t fund them. The Feds have cut mental health services since the 90s. Jfc

What is empathy - to you? This question has a different answer for all and, therefore, does not require a one-sized fit all solution. You understand that when these services are offered they’re abused - not at the expense of just the homeless, but the average taxpayer - those who are good. So do not subject them to the default state of humanity for the past 20000 years - homeless, broke, and hunting for food and pleasure.

This is what I just said. Instead of letting individuals game out taxpayers, have structured and audited pathways for people to get out of poverty

You are more concerned about some addict getting free food and shelter than those not paying taxes, than those using our taxes to enrich themselves, than those using our taxes to bomb little children. Get a damn grip.

Hellscapes created by leaders who said they would've ended homeless a decade ago, only to burn money to fuel addicts on the streets

Anonymous replying to -> #2 8w

That is not what this EO does. It criminalizes those you say you want to help

Fuel addicts on the street…. Yeah bc it pays better than giving them food and shelter. Yell at big pharma and the leaders who created this problem. Don’t take it out on your fellow citizens suffering. It could very easily have been you.

What is an addict who gets food and a bed incentived to do other than… the same unfortunate thing? You lack the empathy to expect more from humans other then the default state. This is an issue separate from those who enrich themselves of taxes - though you’d be surprised at who does that more than dems. those states who have the highest minimum wage, most rent control, and wealth redistribution.

The food and shelter is part of a treatment program…. But you can not be forcing people into them for just being addicts. That’s what this does. This targets addicts that aren’t violent. And AGAIN this criminalizes homelessness. THERE IS NOTHING ILLEGAL ABOUT BEING HOMELESS
