That’s obviously not what he meant. It was one of his gaffs of old age, and any reasonable person can understand what he’s implying, and afterwards clarifies. Remember when Donald Trump didn’t remember who he appointed to the fed, or when he said he was going to Russia to meet Putin, or when he didn’t know anything about the South African genocide case?

He literally said harris was a dei choice. And I think harris did a terrible job as AG btw. Because of her a mom got put in jail because her daughter with sickle cell anemia was technically truant. She criminalized truancy

Is it inherently bad to have diversity and inclusion? He probably said that because he wanted to show that he wasn’t going to overlook her just because she’s a woman of color. Also for voter support from those groups.

I personally found it performative because he only highlighted on how she brings diversity to his administration and didn’t speak on her qualifications or accomplishments
