The OVERWHELMING majority of the economic impact was caused by people simply staying at home. Lost wages + revenue. Hmmmmm I wonder why people didn’t want to go outside… could it maybe be comments like this.

Do you think they’re all lying even though there’s video proof of ice, abusing constitutional rights? The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears, and it was the most essential command

I mean I can’t corroborate the $280M figure obviously but the agents obviously don’t work for free, they eat, and need somewhere to stay. I think I saw somewhere they were spending $18M/week in Minneapolis

DHS reports an 8000% increase in death threats towards officers. That’s led more personnel being required and a demand for higher wages, hence the $50,000 sign on bonus they now offer. Also the nut jobs at the protests slow down the efforts of ice, exacerbating the economic impact. Democrats are doing nothing but driving the cost up then bitching about it smh.

Or maybe lots of people don’t want this and rather than listening and looking for a compromise when that was impossible because the Republicans only care about governing for Republicans, people got fed up and started to do mass un cooperation

Part of being president is governing all Americans, not just Americans that voted for you, it’s a basic prerequisite of the job or at least should be, he represents all of us, not just the people that voted for him, and if people are upset with his policies, it’s no surprise that it will lead to protest, especially since it’s against an armed force that clearly shows less restraint than they should in terms of violence against immigrants and even US citizens

you keep lying to yourselves about that, while also tokenizing Obama in the process. most of us had an issue with how deportations occurred under Obama (and the existence of ICE itself), but that doesn’t help your narrative, does it?

Is it fear mongering if the contents of the speech are true? I assumed fear mongering would be overdramatization or outright propaganda, but I don’t see a single statement on here that isn’t factual or at least mostly truthful. I think fear mongering would require going above and beyond what’s actually happening and that’s not what’s going on in these statements

Also, some people just have a genuine problem with it. It doesn’t require a virtue signaling to dislike when an armed police force is executing citizens on the street for driving away for having a gun when in reality their job description is to capture undocumented immigrants and they don’t technically have a legal basis to detain arrest, non-immigrants or even immigrants that are there legally. It’s weird how the party of line order doesn’t care when the police break the law, just the poor

Consider considering the Supreme Court said it was completely legal for ice agents to racially profile people. I don’t think it’s necessarily that inaccurate what do you call going to Home Depot’s and asking Hispanic people for their ID is that not racial profiling?

I don’t know if we watched the same video but she didn’t even hit him lol, just because DHS said he was injured doesn’t mean he’s actually injured, especially considering DHS has been proven to lie repeatedly under this administration, remember when they said Kilmar Abrego Garcia was part of MS 13 even though he never lived in Venezuela or any part where the gang operates and that he was in America legally on asylum because he was running from El Salvadoran cartels?

They aren’t IDing every Latino they see walking down the street. More fear mongering. They know who they are looking for. Same as any other federal law enforcement. This is the department of homeland secretary we’re talking about. Also harboring a fugitive is a crime, so yeah you’re gonna get asked for your ID lol.

Then why I have so many citizens been arrested? Why are there numerous news stories over mistaken deportations? Stories about judges, ordering people not to be deported because of its illegal nature, but the administration ignoring them? Remember when multiple Venezuelans were sent to the major prison in El Salvador simply because they were Venezuelan?

And that’s also why there’s no more ice agents in Minnesota and why that guy can’t show his face anywhere, everyone hates him, he’s socially ruined for the rest of his life, and I think that’s a good thing They stopped her, even though she was doing her legal job as a legal observer. She wouldn’t have to be there if ICE didn’t repeatedly break the law in multiple areas. And apparently like you said ice knows who they’re going after so they should’ve known she was a citizen by your logic, right?

If we allow federal law-enforcement agents to shoot people who are either just doing their jobs or just carrying firearms, then the right of being able to just do your job or just carry a firearm is no longer a guaranteed right… Also, as she was driving away, she clearly increased the distance between him and her by turning to the right and anyone that has actually seen the video can clearly see that with their two eyes

The fact that you’re falling for the disproven propaganda is absurd he doesn’t have hand tattoos. Every single major news operation outside of Fox showed that the image was poorly Photoshop by some DHS social media intern. The administration revoked that statement because they were proven untrue yet you still use it because you can’t even keep up with the news or engaged with it at a critical level whatsoever because you’re brain dead.

Kavanaugh's Position: Justice Kavanaugh's concurrence argued that while race alone cannot justify a stop, it can be a "relevant factor" when combined with others, such as location or type of employment. Once again proved yourself wrong. 👏👏😂So it’s not based solely on race.

im going to assume this is bait for my own sake but ill say one more thing: saying youre happy that race is a justification for questioning, stopping, arresting is saying immutable characteristics are cause for concern. this is, in the most complete sense, unjust and outwardly evil. these officers are not informed, they do not check databases, they do not act intelligently. it is a very open fact that they are not intellectuals, it is quite literally a point of advertisement in their hiring.

they receive very short training, they are known to act irrationally, erratically, and abusive. there is no punishment for wrongdoing, they are told they have absolute immunity. there is no authority figure for them to report to. saying you want these people, anybody, to act intelligently the most unjust sense is fundamentally heinous and dangerous. you do not want justice nor security, and you will receive neither

As much as you want what you’re saying to be true… it’s not. They are held to the same reasonable suspicion standard, granted the same qualified immunity status, and have access to MORE information than local law enforcement.
