It’s not petty revenge. Harvard has had a very visible and documented last few years of increasing anti semitism. That was reported by the Biden DOJ and Department of Education. And now the trump administration. Also independent evaluators have all deemed Harvard having the same issue. This is the punishment for not addressing the issue.

You’d think that if trump cared about antisemitism he might tell his top advisor to not do Nazi salutes on stage, or maybe he wouldn’t be meeting up for dinner with people like nick Fuentes. Okay here we are again getting emotional. Let’s look at facts and leave our feelings for people out of this. Does Harvard have an issue of anti semitism on campus - Yes. Was it documented by multiple authentic sources - Yes. Was a punishment needed to discourage this from continuing - Yes.

Not emotional at all. If you know that trumps past actions align more with Nazis than people concerned about antisemitism, it helps you understand what his true motives are. If he’s unbothered by neoNazis and their rhetoric, why would he care to act against antisemitism? Additionally, how does revoking a universities ability to welcome international students help curb antisemitism? Is this a reasonable method that is expected to succeed? Is there any precedent for this?

Okay I’m not going to address your Nazi comments because they’re just baseless and reactionary. And to answer your question yes administrations have terminated universities ability to allow foreign students before this isn’t new. How it’s expected to help curb anti semitism I’m not sure I’m not in the government. I’d assume hurting Harvards bottom line or limiting their ability to import talent making them fall behind other ivy leagues.
