Yes because the Russian Empire was known for prosperity and feeding their population. Let’s ignore the fact that the reason why the USSR became a nuclear, military, agricultural, and industrial superpower was because of his policies. Instead of engaging in historical revisionism, maybe actually learn history.
The Russian Empire was a monarchy, completely un-communist. Also, the USSR did that on the backs of people who shared a single apartment with 5+ family members in many cases and shared facilities. The resources that the government used to fund these programs were paid for by the suffering people. Having powerful manufacturing means nothing when people are locked into a system of being unable to build their own wealth and unable to do anything outside of the government's control.
Stalin had utterly dogshit agricultural policy. Famously so. The USSR had many great achievements. Claiming they all belonged to Stalin is bullshit. Plus y’know ethnic cleansing of minorities is bad. And cooperating with the Nazis to partition Poland. And invading the Baltics. And murdering Trotsky. The list goes on.
