“Pro life” but also supports actions that are killing our planet. So a clump of cells is more important than the whole world?

there are billions of actual humans that matter infinitely more than clumps of cells being incubated against a mother's will

“1 person that doesn’t exist yet and should never exist matters more than every single human being currently living and thriving on earth” ur basically promoting the extinction of all live on earth and saying abortion is bad

Except that one person does exist. They’re just in their mom’s belly. Doesn’t make them any less human.

Yk what actually exists that we can 100% agree on. Every single human on earth. I’m sorry but no argument u can make will be correct to state that one embryo is more valuable then every human on the planet combined and if u still think it is then ur not actually pro life ur pro birth and only care abt oppressing women

Completely dodging the point I’m making. I’ll even for the sake of the argument say maybe it is a person. Ur valuing the life of one person over the life of EVERYONE. Even urself. Is an unborn fetus more important than you? That’s what ur arguing for right now. You’d rather die than let abortion be legal

He’s not saying that. His point is every life matters. You’re putting words in his mouth. He didn’t say one life is worth more than another just that all lives matter

The original premise is flawed and doesn’t make any sense. It’s just a way for somebody to justify abortion. An unborn fetus is equally as important as me, not any less so. There’s nobody out there in the world saying “either stop the earth from exploding or stop killing babies”

Right but my argument is how can u claim to be pro life when u side with policies that put the world in danger effectively endangering the lives of everyone. Ur not pro life ur pro birth which is very different. U don’t actually give a shit about that fetus u just have this falsified morality on the subject that ends as soon as its born and u stop caring about it

cool, now maybe try having that energy for problems that actual existing people have. because the majority of pro-lifers don't.

“Because you believe this then according to me you should believe this as well” By that logic you should be anti abortion so they could live to enjoy the earth that you’re saving.

really all OP is saying is that the right is selective about when they care about life. genuinely, based on policy and the character of your representatives, it could be logically states that they do in fact care more about unborn children than children in schools, and the same logic applies to their stance on climate change. abortion is not a genocide like you all claim. climate change will be. that’s the essence of this argument. if you care about both, you should vote like it.

My beliefs and values lead me to care far more about abortion, which is a genocide, far more than climate change, which will not be. The left is equally selective by caring about the latter more than the former. It’s applicable to both sides.

alright this is a meaningless conclusion if you don’t even believe in climate change to begin with. buddy, you can’t save the kids if all of their mothers are burning alive. have you ever really thought about why so many mothers feel like they’re doing their kid a favor by not bringing them into this world? me personally, i don’t want to raise a kid in a world where people fear the “death” (or rather lack of existence) of unborn children more than the existential suffering of LIVING people.

climate change is a global catastrophe, abortion is an individual catastrophe. end of story. you can care about abortion when you get a woman pregnant. you should care about the world as long as you live in it.

Okay get back to me when mothers start burning alive. Of all the reasons not to bring a child into the world, climate change is the least compelling. How many people has climate change killed? It’s not billions, unlike abortion.

it’s hyperbole until it’s not. moreover, i don’t like how this conversation has somehow become pro-life vs. pro-climate as if the two are mutually exclusive. you can be pro-life but to claim such and have a disregard for the climate is hypocritical and frankly insulting to the children you swear by. too many republicans buy into this dichotomy and i don’t know why.
