No, I disagree with you on that. I’m saying to treat illegal immigrants kindly. But that doesn’t mean they should be allowed to stay here. We have to look after ourselves as a country unfortunately. Blame the politicians, not the people coming here.

The kindness part includes tolerating their and making the immigration process streamlined and fair so that the people who need to leave their country can. There’s a concern about infrastructure (like look at our education system, damn!) but in that case we should be investing in infrastructure, not violently deporting people back to where they came from.

The problem is we tried that already. We were lenient and we let people come in and stay. Then, the Democrats came in and completely abused it for their own political gain. So unfortunately we can no longer afford to be lenient, especially when the Democrats are just going to reverse everything back again if they win in 2028. We have to preemptively prepare for it now while they’ve lost the White House

lowkey we have never had real attempts at immigration reform (or at least not since 2008 when Congress starting getting primarily obstructionist) I think the idea that our options are either an open border or deporting everyone is a false dichotomy.
