No. He murdered a bunch of people in public. That’s the part that warrants the death penalty. Life has all sorts of trauma associated with it. We can reduce the trauma on innocent people by killing the people who appear to want to magnify suffering/death less they continue to multiply. There’s no “killing them softly” way out of this.
