Hate trump, but he is quite literally paying for all of it. We shouldn’t have to pay for lazy people’s EBT anyways

Privately funded construction. Dems should stop voting to keep the government shut down then.

“privately funded” as if that makes it any better lmfao, it’s still rich people spending money to swing their dicks around while people starve

80% of snap recipients are children, the elderly, or disabled

The GBPI and nearly every other state reports that there are 47% of SNAP users in the 18 to 29 category and 31% in the 40 to 49 category. That’s 78% of the recipients who aren’t actually out of working age. My dad is still working and he’s 60. Also, men receive 55% of SNAP compared to women. Obviously need help for single mothers and stuff, but nearly 80% of these people are working age males with no responsibilities, no job, and you and I are paying for it.

And that’s not enough to end the filibuster. Dems are needed to end it

As opposed to Obama spending tax dollars around the same amount for a remodel of the white house? Do some research.

They’re gatekeeping the shutdown with arbitrary funding. It won’t pass even if majority vote. They know this and will keep it shut down so people will blame Trump about it and not what is actually causing it. Typical politicians being corrupt asf

If you actually did research, all of that was approved by Congress under the Bush administration

Ngl I get snap (or did) but I’m a broke ahh college kid. There is a requirement too that I have to work 20 hours while in school full time. It’s not lazy people, it’s broke ahh people that can’t afford food because rent is 80% of their paycheck. It’s the high rent prices but no one talks about that… only that price gouging a shit, bro it’s not that. It’s the fucking landlords! We all know who that is too…

The only shit I’ll talk on Obama is his shit fucking healthcare plan. I remember my dad telling me he had to pay $1,700 a MONTH for his healthcare because of Obamacare.

Are you stupid he literally just repainted lines on a tennis court that was already there and had congressional approval, guess who didn’t have approval?

I think they’re referring to another renovation that was approved by Congress during Bush. It cost a lot (maybe $300M?) but it was for HVAC, electrical, and structural repairs. The lights were literally going out before it because stuff needed to be repaired 😭

You must be joking. Just because you weren’t alive or don’t remember the economy does not mean it wasn’t god awful(it was historically dogshit)

You need 60 votes. Guess who voted no with the exception of 1 person on both sides each time? Hint: it’s dems lmao

Rs introduced the ‘keep snap funded act’ which would keep the aid active through a government shutdown and dems have voted against it 13 times. The only thing this act would do is maintain snap funding throughout the shutdown while they are negotiating.

You have been duped into believing whatever your side says and it’s dumb. Both sides lie to your face 90% of the time it’s fine picking a side but you’ve gotta be able to face that

Source for the 13 votes? Because on Congress.gov I don’t see a single vote listed for it
