My family is from China. I am familiar with Mao era ideology. Even though he frame it as communism, it is actually more similar to a religious cult. There is a propaganda video from that era claiming that reading Maoism can cure blindness. How is that communism? Isn’t that a religion?

To clarify, the propaganda’s claimed reading Maoism would give you the ability to cure others blindness. Obviously the blind people can’t read lol
