I dunno, they’re still pretty decent right now. Cars getting 300 miles on a charge is really good

The infrastructure just needs to be there and it’s doable

The big issue is that with the lithium mining it’s only slightly better for the environment and many power grids struggle even without everyone driving electric cars. Additionally, a large portion of that electricity comes from coal plants anyways.

As long as I’m not buying gas I’m happy. Charging overnight adds pennies to my power bill

Yep. 100% agreed. The main issue is that the push for electric vehicles came a few years too early

True but at the same time most electric cars are significantly more expensive than gas powered cars of similar quality

Baby steps are better than nothing. Plus ideally as power moves to renewables and green instead of coal that aspect will drop off and we’ll get a bigger benefit for the same user base

True, until the embargo gets lifted on BYD, when you can get a car that’s 20k and has a 500 mile charge, and then competitors will need to lower their prices

Rn Tesla is scrambling to get their budget “Model Q” on the line, when BYD has had this and cheaper for years now. They’re miles ahead

Chicken and egg tbh. Infra won’t exist without the push, and push is too early without the infra.
