Yeah and that gets very expensive. + taking care of me and siblings + car payments + travel ect… Even though they make a shit ton they don’t provide as much assistance to me as you guys think. The only reason I got my house was grandparents not parents. And still I have to pay a shit ton of money for all kinds of stuff related to the house

But you can sell the asset right? It’s like if I owned a large hunk of gold, I have to pay for a safe and safe maintenance and that sucks, but at the end of the day I still have the hunk of gold

Technically yes. But also it’s one of those things I can’t really sell. Would be such a bad look to my grandparents who spent their entire lives building and caring for the house. Owning this asset doesn’t give me a huge advantage since I’m spending and not making money off of it. Unless I use the house as collateral for a loan
