Thanks for this, I didn’t realize how small the chaos actually was. I mean, it’s still chaos and illegal af but at least it’s more localized and controlled. Hopefully only those participating in illegal activities are arrested.

You know what else is illegal af? Detaining, arresting, and then deporting “illegal” immigrants without due process of the law, especially as the President of the United States and forces ordered by such position

If you read the first paragraph you’d notice that the investigation in 1967 was into “urban riots”. Also riots are typically, just like now, also protests.

Where did you see me saying I’m okay with them destroying homes or small businesses? I’m not saying it’s not happening, but I’ve only seen people target corporations I was trying to inform people it’s not as big as the news is making it out to be. It’s not insignificant, but it’s not like 10% of the city is being destroyed. So it is a small area considering. 20.3 sq miles is the MAXIMUM amount of area where this is happening. IMO it’s probably about a fourth of that

All I’ve seen is a few small acts of violence against cars and vandalism. I’d argue that’s warranted given the injustices being committed against these people
