For better or for worse, progress will always prevail, is what I should've said. Change is inevitable. The natural state of the universe is chaos/entropy, trying to resist the natural flow of things can cause brutal turbulence. We can't defy one of the core principles of physics, try as some might. I do agree that AI was a mistake, but it's here now, and it's up to us to use it properly. As a tool, not as a replacement. But I highlyyyy doubt the corporations will do the right thing 🙄

you're conflating nostalgia and idealization. not the same, and your criticism is still flawed the woman says the man is radically right wing. he suggests that it's actually the modern age that is radical, because his radical view(s) would've been "normal" in the past. he himself is acknowledging that he's idealizing something now considered bad, but suggesting it would be "normal" and acceptable then
