People in left wing spaces care about Sudan, but it’s not as heavily publicized and is not as deeply tied with American politics, so that’s why it’s talked about less.

It makes sense why there would be a different level of focus over one genocide, which is directly funded by U.S. tax dollars and is committed by a government that has a massive lobby in the United States vs the other genocide, which is committed by proxy forces of a U.S. ally, and which also hasn’t been politicized for 60 years.
