Maybe because y'all call places like that a shithole country and discriminate against the people from there?

i’m not saying they should fly the american flag, i’m saying why fly the flag of the place they specifically don’t want to go

it establishes that their flying of their flag during protests against their peoples removal on land that should be theirs is valid.

why should the land “be theirs” and who are “their people” and what government do you propose control this “land”

because it was “theirs” “their” people are their latin american community, and while i dont advocate for the return of the land (only because they havemt asked for it) they have every right to display their heritage via flag while advocating for those people. thats a first amendment right and bc it hurts literally no one, its not a problem.

i acknowledge they have the right to do that but when the case you’re trying to make is hey we belong in this country we are just as american as the rest of you and we are beneficial to this country (which i believe btw, fuck ICE) you’re shooting yourself in the foot by flying the flags of other countries there’s no way you win over anyone who doesn’t already agree with you by doing that

i think anyone who is discouraged from taking the side of humane treatment and justice in immigration enforcement because of a flag was already against it.

i disagree i think you seeing it that way is part of the problem we have to understand that people on both sides of this issue are people and they believe what they believe for a reason, if these ppl believe that immigrants are coming here to “take over the country” obviously violently rioting on the streets with other countries flags is only going to make this worse

Well they can’t be sent anywhere if they are, so the implication is that they aren’t, no?
