Sweden deeming the raping of a 16 year old girl “not long enough” to be considered a “serious threat to public order and safety” and rejecting the victim’s attorney’s request for deportation of the 18yr old Eritrean migrant😭

The issue seems to be that in order to deport someone with refugee status, they have to prove that him remaining in Sweden poses a serious risk to public safety and order. Apparently this rape does not fall under a serious crime such that him remaining would pose that risk, which is wild

I managed to dig up a Swedish article that doesn’t have a paywall and seems reputable https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/vasterbotten/ung-man-doms-for-overfallsvaldtakt-i-skelleftea-friades-forst-i-tingsratten

So I have to do your research for you cause you can’t do it yourself? Literally one google search you’d see countless articles but you’d rather argue in a comment section and deny deny deny than acknowledge it. So childish. Here’s your screenshots but you’ll just call them bad sources and continue to argue instead of doing your own research like a grown fucking adult

Here’s another article that mentions how 58% of rape in Sweden was from foreigners and that was back in 2018 when there was an even lower ratio of them

Countless articles did not appear when I searched. It was just one or two, from places that aren’t super reputable, and a ton of tweets and Reddit posts. I had to get Google to give me Swedish results too

People and media would rather deny it but it’s really not hard to get reputable information on it since it was legitimately a court case

Nah this is pretty common in countries that don’t have a major English-speaking news outlet. And most major news outlets aren’t very keen to rely on machine translation for this stuff either. If this happened in the UK or Australia you’d see way more articles

Oh yeah I didn’t really think about them not having a major English outlet and translation making it tough for there to be a lot, that’s fair
