Since we’re on the topic, if you honestly think the confederate flag should still be flown or god forbid you still believe in its ideals for “southern heritage” you deserve to be hit in the ribs with a sledge hammer. They’re a bunch of slaving traitors.
I think people should be allowed to fly it if they want… and other people are allowed to lambast them for doing that.
Unlike our “president”, I believe in the first amendment.

I’m not saying it should still be flown but it is a part of American history that needs to be remembered.

No one is proposing we forget slavery and the civil war.

We’re saying, stop taking pride in this.

It’s 5 years of American history, the annoying orange lasted longer. It shouldn’t just be remembered it needs to be made infamous and never seen outside of a history book with strict prejudice

That’s what textbooks and museums are for

Right right, THAT is fine, that’s history, the guy waving it on his front lawn because it’s “his heritage” is not a historian.

At least if they have the flag up I know to avoid them/ call them out on their bullshit.

It is a conflicting idea honestly. Personally I feel considering our history this should be a notable exception. They can keep their black US flags with a blue streak but a flag for a group of traitors fighting for slavery?

May I respectfully disagree and leave it at that?

That’s fine. You’re right, the first amendment should always be protected… just sucks when it’s used for shit like this
