Let’s say I have Covid. I’m a healthy fit young person. I’m going to be fine, I’ll take some vitamin C and call it a day. I won’t bother getting tested to check if it’s Covid or the Flu. But I’m still going to wear a mask, because I have a grandmother and I know that a sickness that barely impacts me can make her very weak. And even when she doesn’t live with me, I know that other people have people who matter to them in potential danger.

It’s not fear, it’s empathy. And you’re not special or more developed for not caring for other people. Yes, your body your choice, but you’re not still any less of an asshole.

You’re putting others at risk of infection if you have an infection and are around them without a mask. Yeah your body your choice but that doesn’t mean you’re not a selfish jerk

I … am going to need a source for this. The entire medical profession using masks as their first line of defence (not just for Covid) being useless, isn’t really a plausible argument. I also want to point out that masks not being fully effective or having different amounts of effectiveness according to mask type, is not equivalent to them being useless.

I’ve read multiple peer reviewed studies saying masks help prevent the spread of infection because of people like you but when I ask for a source that says it doesn’t I never hear anything back
