Nah some stuff is straight up poison. Plenty of guilty pleasure of mine is processed foods but it’s only pleasurable in the moment, fuckin afterwards I feel like ass. The argument for organic is fair but you should just make sure your source is safe. They could come from the golden goose, I ain’t eating shit covered eggs or meat that is barely fda approved.

I’m currently working on an organic farm for the summer so if anyone has questions feel free to ask, because they aren’t just finding it on the ground somewhere. Its months of effort and careful cultivation and typically run by family owned businesses. Its trying to mitigate the effects of factory farming on the environment as well, the amount of antibiotics and pesticides used in factory farming is what creates resistant bacteria/pests

Washing food counts as it being “processed”

Well that’s news to me I always thought it’s the stuff full of more sodium than the ocean and preservatives. Like spam or just about any chips, fuckin Kraft singles, most hot dogs, just about any snacks from little Debbie or hostess, just about any fast food joint, ect.

Any food that has any change to it is under the umbrella of processed. Pastured milk, cured or smoked meats…etc

Now that I think about it isn’t there a better term for the processed shit aforementioned. Ultra processed?

Yeah see like that. Ultra processed, guilty pleasure. Regular processed that keeps my food healthy like immunizations, pasteurizing, washing what have you I’m all for. I ain’t eating “organic” less I know where it’s coming from. Simple as that

I also eat lots of foods from local people, my neighbors even. But the whole fear mongering and superiority complex people feel about “ultra processed foods” is ridiculous many people live in food deserts, many people don’t have the time/money for these “less processed foods” at the end of the day food is food

Yeah you right. Plenty of people I know are pretty damn reliant on it. When I was younger it’s all my family could get. But I gotta walk everywhere I go and my sister (an rn) told me why my fingers, knees, and feet would swell so much just for walking like half a mile. It was salt, I never considered it but I cut back on a bunch of salty foods, started eating a bunch of salad and I felt a whole lot better. I’m lucky my work and college offer such choices.

When I feel like it you know I’m getting me a burger or pizza. Even ramen made right is a treat.
