The fact that Ishowspeed is touring in Africa rn and people are like “THEY HAVE CARS??? AND INDOOR PLUMBING?????” People seem so balls deep in the propaganda machine that I have to assume it’s some kind of joke I’m not in on

Unfortunately the average American is deeply propagandized & has no true understanding of what any country outside of America looks like… Hell the average American doesn’t have a true or realistic understanding of any state outside of the one they grew up in.

Their worldview is based on a video or Scholastic news article about one remote village meanwhile there’s multiple cities of like 10M+ people in Africa that obviously are going to have cars and indoor plumbing and a lot of the other modern necessities of life

I genuinely thought our age group of gen z was the last to believe that racist myth, because I remember being in middle school and learning that wasn’t true. Never really thought about it since then.

The rich places are nice, but for the most part there is a scarcity of resources for those unfavored.

Also coming from the most chronically online generation, has no one ever randomly gotten a TikTok from someone in Africa where they have supermarkets and shit that they’re showing off?? I’ve gotten at least 10 of those that I can remember

Like all it took for me was to see one picture of a city in Kenya when I was like 8 to be like “oh okay, they’re chilling over there” but grown ass adults are still shocked that this whole ass continent isn’t living in mud huts and shitting on the floor 😭😭 I’m glad Speed is there!!! It’s tearing down the veil for a lot of people it seems

That is good! I honestly didn’t know who he was til recently because he’s from the city I live in (Cincy) and he was here on some live stream tour, so I was forced to find out lol. But it sounds like he has a huge, young audience so that’s great impact
