what are you even saying? do you understand that two wrongs don’t make a right? drawing a discriminatory, stereotypical depiction of someone who committed a crime doesn’t make it not racist. the suspects didn’t look like that. i’m not justifying murder bc i don’t like that someone drew a stereotypical drawing of a brown muslim man that perpetuates the “terrorist” stereotype.
If it’s not acceptable or distasteful, that doesn’t mean it’s illegal. In fact, it’s protected speech. And because there’s no legal recourse, which is by design in a liberal society, the only way left to ‘enforce’ that standard would be through civil violence. That’s exactly why the line between moral disapproval and legal prohibition matters. Once you collapse those, you’re implicitly legitimizing violence as the enforcement tool. So the question becomes, what are you even saying?
