BDs you kind of have an argument (the enforcement still led to 84 women and children dying), but the Weavers were completely fucked over by the feds, they were absolutely peacable. First off Randy was entrapped, second he got the wrong court date, and third the Marshals shot first.

That's also not a good precedent to set, I bet there are a lot of people who would be hasty to judge you based on your political beliefs

I didn’t say it excused anything, I’m just tired of Ruby Ridge being this “look at gun control” thing when it’s way more complicated than that

the punishment for treason is death, this is the only punishment for a crime explicitly called out in the constitution.

You can't commit treason when we aren't at war by subscribing to a political ideology, and even in a war its not treasonous to subscribe to any political ideology besides the official one of the US, only the specific one of the enemy.

Even if that were how treason worked, that wouldn't be a good precedent to set because literally every political ideology on Earth has someone who dislikes them
