I love how people just make things up about Zohran due to Islamophobia. Also love how people don’t know anything about Muslim culture or religion & just use Sharia law to equal every bad thing but Muslim 🫩

To my understanding Sharia isn’t even something that’s supposed to be imposed externally within the Muslim faith, these people are just racist

Who cares about Muslim culture. Or their law. A Muslim socialist shouldn’t be in charge of anything in the USA. I don’t need to learn anything about some foreign culture.

Sharia law literally permits men to abuse their wives it’s a bad thing

He’s been asked a couple times and avoided it every single time. Mamdani shouldn’t even be apart of the Democratic Party, he should be part of the socialist party of America.

He shouldn’t have to answer such a loaded question. We lived through the post 9/11 era we know what that question really means

Idk how true this but do you guys actually know anything about Sharia Law because the way people talk about it makes me feel like that don’t

If you asked some Christian politician if they wanted biblical law though, I bet a lot of them wouldn’t answer the question either

weird bc ur og comment was directly condemning a religion, and saying that someone shouldnt be in charge of anything in the usa bc of their religious and political status. a preference is saying that you personally wouldnt vote for him. stop spreading hate and then pretending to be innocent

actually as a muslim i would love to clear that up! the verb "ضرب" translates roughly to “strike” english, but it has a lot of meanings and was used multiple times in other quran passages such as “to separate” when moses struck a rock to bring out water for israelites. another meaning is “to ignore” or “remove yourself from” which is what muhammad pbuh was noted to do after he had a conflict with a wife

there’s a lot of scholarly debate on what the verb in this context is supposed to mean, but most scholars also happen to be men. if we had equal amount of female scholars i don’t think this would be an issue at all. female scholarship is encouraged by the quran but a lot of cultures (globally) are patriarchal

The relevance: you’re the one talking, you are also the one that is dumb as hell The veracity: is self evident by every single thing you’ve commented thus far A side note: a thesaurus doesn’t make you smart king

That isn’t a demonstration, merely an assertion. Furthermore if you implying that anything I have said prior constitutes a “big” or “complex” word, I am not the dumb one here. - You claim it is self evident by my prior words, by virtue of what? Once again you lack demonstration. If your argument reduces simply to “I’m dumb because you say so”, then I respond“I am in fact not dumb because I say so”.

baby I’m not going to write you an essay explaining why you’re wrong because you haven’t actually made a point. You literally were just like “a Muslim socialist shouldn’t lead!!” Where is your veracity? Or demonstration? Or the slightest modicum of evidence besides literally just your feelings being hurt?

This dumb*ss basically did “I don’t like Muslims! Prove me wrong!” Like what? Lmao I can’t make you not stupid man that’s gonna have to be something you do. And it’s not that the words are overly complicated you’re just clearly someone who likes to use verbose language to posture yourself as some sort of intellectual when in reality my drywall makes more coherent points

So your position shift from “I’m dumb” to “I’m wrong”. Why don’t you demonstrate some consistency to start? I was never making an assertion or “ought”claim that would require demonstration to begin with, merely stating a preference. Why would I provide evidence? Evidence for what, my personal opinion? Well here you go - I (prefer) “X” (“X” naturally symbolizing my initial comment) So now that your deflection has been dealt with, do feel free to demonstrate what you said earlier

Take out the “prove me wrong” that you arbitrarily inserted. Also who asked you to make me something you can’t even prove I am? - demonstrate my reason for speaking how I do is what you say it is - demonstrate also your drywall assertion Have you considered that perhaps your way of speaking is simply, I don’t know, immature?

“Should i provide evidence for my personal opinion?” Yeah, hopefully??? most opinions people hold should probably be based on something besides whatever weird feelings they have?? So how’s this: you’re dumb as hell because you draw sweeping conclusions about entire religions and groups of people w/ (by your own admission) no evidence to speak of for those conclusions. This level of unfuckable is making my stomach hurt, I’m out

That isn’t a demonstration, merely an assertion once again. You really are bad at the whole debate/conversation thing aren’t you? Furthermore, I do not have to provide evidence for a statement such as “I like (or dislike) bananas” or “I want (or do not want) to eat a banana. Ditto my actual statement Furthermore, do feel free to demonstrate your assertion that I make sweeping generalizations or where I admitted I had no evidence for anything. In fact demonstrate the conclusions I came to

Oh my god I didn’t want to continue this but honestly this is so braindead I just can’t help myself. /preferences/ describe something uncontrollable and usually relatively inconsequential. Like your banana analogy When we are discussing who should /lead a country/, these are not decisions that are made due to uncontrollable factors like sense of taste or sexual attraction. We make these decisions (hopefully) through analyzing things like policy choices and aptness to lead

You trying to compare your islamophobia to what flavor of cake you like is so so so stupid because you’re bastardizing what the word preference means. This is like Saying my preference is to have black people drink out of different water fountains. That’s not a preference it’s a political opinion, and when we have political opinions they (hopefully) are made with some evidence/reasons in mind besides your weird ass feelings. Okay I’m actually done now Christ sake

you don't want them to be in charge of anything (not just get elected), and you don't want to learn about "some foreign culture." don't paraphrase your words to make yourself seem less ignorant. my original point was that USA is not the place for ignorance and exclusion, the country was founded on acceptance of anyone regardless of religion/culture.
