I agree with Trump on like ONE thing and that’s the idea of Europe getting serious about their own defense. You have a huge economy and a huge population, why tf are you expecting us to take care of it when your continent is invaded

This has been a push since Obama I don’t think it was Trump’s idea, but I agree they aren’t the war torn region they were post ww2 time to increase the defense budgets.

The issue is that we’re never going to defund our own military, even if we pulled out of the majority of Europe and Asia. That money could be well spent on things like public healthcare but it isn’t going to happen lol

Yeah I think it’s just starting to hit them to be fair I understand the sentiment Pre US they were a group of constantly competing powers.
