Right, Rhode Island and BU and their complete lack of any gun policies. Oh right, they also have a bunch of gun control laws that don’t work

Does gun control laws completely stop mass shootings? No. Especially when state laws vary, but states with stronger laws do see lower rates of gun deaths. Not to mention the undeniable point that this is a problem exclusive to the the U.S..

Compared to other developed and democratic countries, yes, it is. South America is more complicated as it has significant political unrest, unstable governments, and low income nations. It isn’t an appropriate comparison as much of those deaths are also tied to gang violence, etc. They often aren’t school shootings

Almost all “mass shootings” in America that go into those statistics are gang violence too.

Except mass shootings stats do not include gang violence. They are classified differently. But let’s say they did, that doesn’t change the fact there are regular (daily to weekly) documented school and workplace shootings (which are not a result of gang violence).
