I do not believe it applies to all prisoners. The law applies to people imprisoned for “lethal attacks,” which is a fraction of those imprisoned. It is clearly discriminatory and an example of apartheid, but as most prisoners are held without charge or on throwing stones, this would only apply to a fraction
You can read about the law instead of downvoting me. Be against it for what it actually is, not a misrepresentation. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2025/11/11/israeli-parliament-nods-to-bill-to-introduce-death-penalty-for https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/30/israel-passes-law-death-penalty-palestinian-convicted-terrorists https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israeli-death-penalty-bill-palestinian-murder-convicts-faces-vote-2026-03-30/
they aren't prisoners, they are hostages, and the definition of what constitutes "terrorism" is vague enough that it can apply to anybody. "murder... with the intent of rejecting the existence of the state of Israel." is one such example. they will absolutely say that some 12 year old who rightfully defends himself against a settler is a terrorist rejecting the existence of israel and hang him. this wouldn't even be an extreme for them
This is an utterly terrible law. It fundamentally shouldn’t exist and will be used to harm Palestinians as much as possible. But presenting this as an imminent execution of all 10,000 is incorrect and will ultimately leave people confused, especially if even more terrible abuse occurs and someone goes “wait I thought that happened already”
and i'm saying that it doesn't only apply to a fraction because the definition is so loose and their position on what constitutes opposing israels existence can and will apply to everybody they kidnap and want to kill op is posting disinformation fs (for example, the law is *allegedly* not retroactive) but you are also downplaying the severity of this decision
