Saw this, but the OG version with a gun was fascist propaganda designed to delegitimize resistance to state violence. This is the (intentionally or not) the same. There is no obligation to be the perfect victim or morally pure in your self defense

100% agree. I have friends who unfortunately believe that Hamas must somehow resist peacefully or otherwise be complicit in their own people getting killed. Resistance to state oppression doesn’t need to be held to a higher standard than the oppressors themselves

Wild how American history textbooks (and a hyper focus on mlk jr’s nonviolence) have people honestly believing that the correct response to Israeli terror and violence is to peacefully ask for change forever and never return violence.

Lowkey I wish they talked more about Malcom X. Only one school Ive taught at has even mentioned him. Even then it was only non violence they taught about
