How am I even supposed to take republicans seriously at this point? Democrats are running on affordability, Medicare for all, getting money out of politics, and what are republicans running on? All they have is screaming “COMMUNISM! RADICAL ISLAM!!!”

True. Republicans live in a world where the affordability crisis isn’t real and trans people existing is somehow a bigger issue than growing wealth inequality and more Americans struggling to make ends meet.

50 years of right wing neoliberal economics will do that. Libs are worried about trans rights because republicans are always going after trans people, since they need an “other” to distract from their dogshit economic platform. Republicans use trans people and immigrants as the “others.”
