Net migration is usually an economic benefit once integration has occurred. Germany’s economic problems are mainly tied to current energy issues and issues with having an aging population relative to the benefits structure, and inflation/cost of living. Having immigrants come to the country and pay into the benefits system (even if it’s after an initial investment) is a net economic benefit my guy.

Also arbitrarily breaking the law to “send people back” because of short-term economic woes would reflect poorly on Germany’s capacity to honor its own laws, let alone international commitments.

On the whole, most refugees in Germany are integrating by learning the language, and seeking to work. That’s what I mean by that. If you’re implying that I meant cultural assimilation, thats a complete whiff

Plenty of Germans took refugees into their own homes during the crisis, many worked and are continuing to work to ensure that refugees have community and resources to learn the language and to be able to support themselves in German society.
