…I never said crime wasn’t the problem… I never even argued that the store wasn’t the problem. I argued this and these two things alone 1. Just because there was a failure doesn’t mean the failure is on the model 2. Don’t use one study from a city an Kansas and think it’s the same there. No one argued on the fact I said Crime rates in New York City are plummeting. Hell, you could have pulled up crime rates in the 5 places Mamdani wants to place the stores and at least I can learn something

I’m not saying everything is a bad use of tax payer money, I’m saying that’s what your claiming, even when it’s successful (like P&L) you still think it’s a bad use

I get the free rider problem — but history shows that anything that can be privatized will almost always work exponentially better. The incentive to innovate, cut waste, and respond to demand just isn’t there in the same way with public projects.
