Yeah that’s sort of what I’m thinking. Cause I heard on the radio that they’re trying to rename it the “working families tax cut act” and almost choked on my lunch

But then I went to check bc I could’ve sworn the real tax cuts were roughly the opposite direction of the photo I posted above. You think they deadass changed it and are trying a coverup? Idk if that’s really possible

also yea what #1 said, especially here -- tax code is not remotely straightforward, so its very easy to manipulate. by income tax rate, the statement on the top 1% might be correct, but its very likely that they are given lots of breaks which drastically reduces their taxable income to tax them less than before. and this wouldnt be the first time that this happens, because it gets justified with "economic stimulation" or "trickle down"
