also even if it weren’t just “different flavors of racism” too much so-called ideological diversity is just incoherence. You can only have so much variance before you just don’t stand for anything

lol different minority groups but the main one they forget about is that the United States started off a bunch of minorities seeking a better life with no taxes a free life instead we turned around instead of moving forward the amount of disappointment our founding fathers would have on us rn

I love it when I look into a study about psychology and find ties to a MINING COMPANY OF RARE EARTH MINERALS Oh yeah dude, I’m sure there was no conflict of interest there

i would like the know what the exact details of the diverse thought is. how do they define diverse thought? is it just slight variations on views? like “i feel strongly positive” vs “i feel somewhat positive”? is it variety of topics? are some topics just divided into sub topics to broaden the data? parameters matter in studies, as well as the sample size group.

It’s not a very good study. The sample is people on a survey site. Iirc the data comes from 10 agree/disagree statements, i.e. “abortion should be legal”

It’s Lüders 2023, “Attitude networks as intergroup realities…” if you wanna read the whole study

yeah i looked into it and the sample size was originally ~300, excluded non native english speakers (which do take up a non-negligible percent of US population), questions were agree/disagree on an 8 point scale, and the point of difference was counted towards the varied thinking. so conservatives could have all been on an agree/disagree side BUT scattered from neutral to strongly disagree and that counts as varied views. also the funding of the study has me side eyeing it

it was a skim mostly but upon skimmed glance it looks poorly conducted from a scientific research standpoint.
