Her children call her momala, so it was adopted as a nickname by some of her supporters. But also her supporters at large aren’t homophobic the way Trump supporters are. And also calling ppl “mother” is not the same as “mommy” they are very different meanings (in pop culture); and the meaning of momala was. It used in the way that “mommy” or “daddy” are used
