Yaknow maybe controversial, but I think a lot of the “porn is cheating” discourse comes from the social shift to leaving relationships for simply being unhappy in them isn’t valid enough anymore. You can’t just leave and renter the hellscape of the dating scene unless it’s something huge, like cheating. Having boundaries crossed isn’t valid, nah nah, any boundary crossing IS cheating. It’s gotta be big to leave

Terminally online straight women terrify me. This might just be a product of what I see but like astrology and relationship tests and all the modern dating shit is so insane. Impossible expectations and a control obsession wrapped in therapy speak. I do feel like this hasn’t penetrated more niche queer nerdy spaces that I frequent though and I am grateful. Could never date someone like that.

Also do they not know drawn pornography exists? I guess it’s not that mainstream and is considered more niche??? Like most of my consumption is from artists or people just posting stuff on twitter so I always see stuff acting like all porn is from a huge company.

My ex meanwhile was very normal about this stuff and we were able to communicate with each other really well. Were just clear about boundaries and talked about them. But she’s a trans girl and I’m a bi guy so I think that almost means we were emotionally equipped and think topics like this through more than most cishet people? A lot of people just don’t self-reflect

I think the general sex positivity within queer communities definitely help with that side of conversations in queer relationships, bc these massive anti porn porn is cheating no budging conversations do seem to happen mostly in cithet/heteronormative relationships

I think I’m gonna stay away from the dating scene for a while because I moved to a smaller, fairly conservative town and it just doesn’t feel like the place to date. Plus tbh I’ve been enjoying being single it’s nice to just do my own thing.
