Honestly depending on where you fly out of, flying out of the country can be anywhere from 500-1000 bucks round trip. assuming it’s 700, that leaves you 500 bucks, housing is your most expensive cost (hostels can start around $30/night) and food/fun/fares can all be adjusted more easily to budget. Definitely doable, though. Even a road trip can be budgeted around $100/day, esp if your destination(s) don’t require you to spend a bunch of money on fun/food (national parks/camping, museums, beach)

Probably Mexico or the Caribbean. For Europe, $1200 only gets you a flight

a bunch of different ones, i found the three flights through google flights. i think it was american airlines, british airlines, and some other one i forget

yess. it was abt a 2 hour flight with AA within the US, then a 9 hour to london with british airways, then a 1.5hr from london to my final destination in eastern europe

it was at a great time too, like 5pm so that 9 hour flight was overnight. then on the way back we had 3 planes as well, and it was only $459 for all 6 flights. ive since tried to find smth that cheap and havent even come close, idk how i got so lucky

That’s such a steal, oil prices must’ve been lower or something. The economics of that route must’ve been weird too. What a find, I’m so jealous 😭
