So now if more than 50% of grads aren’t making a lot of money immediately after graduating, their whole degree programs will lose access to federal funds. This is meant to fuck over liberal arts education and academia, but we can also say goodbye to having social workers and teachers. This is in addition to other rules meant to fuck over nursing education.

This also will completely destroy theological education in America, which genuinely might be the only thing that could make republicans take a step back. All these conservative Christian colleges supported anti-academic rhetoric and now they’re gonna lose all their money, because theology grads don’t make a lot.

Conservatives want a society where people go to college only to learn a trade, and not gain any deeper critical thinking. College should also be about making a better, more informed society. But an informed society votes against republicans.
