they did run a shit campaign, but at the end of the day people just didn’t vote. we’ll see in it 2028 too and a republican will probably win. hate to blame the people because I do understand how tiring it is to pick “lesser of the two evils”, but that is legit always like always how voting works. no one is gonna be good, but our generation just doesn’t care or think voting is important. that’s a generalization for sure, but more people don’t vote than people who voted
Tf you mean people didn’t vote? 77 million people voted for Trump and 75 million for Harris. That’s 10 million each higher than 2016. Not quite as high as 2020 but that was record setting. Harris ran an ok campaign but she only had 3 months, and everyone hated Biden, so it’s no surprise that the republican turnout was so high
my point was that democrats didn’t really vote lol like 30%+ registered democrats voted in 2020 and like 20% voted in 2024. there was an article at some point about this with numbers and stats and shit. I think i’m remembering the numbers correctly because I remember being like “damn no one voted” but I could be wrong
definitely worded it wrong reading back what I said, but ya we are agreeing lol if I cared enough i’d look for the article but that is probably buried deep by now and it’s not all that important anymore. point still stands that a lot of young people don’t feel like voting or think it’s important. been hearing that since campaigns started
