I'm confused about the Obama ballroom joke. Why would he make fun of gold and ornamentation when americans spend millions to travel to countries with those things, like Italy? Why is he criticizing architecture when his library is objectively ugly?

I used to like the DJT decorations but yeah the more I see it , the more just gaudy it gets For example I didn’t hate the idea of the arch until I saw exactly how big it would look and an artists rendition of it and how it would block view or whatever

I completely get what you mean. I like the idea of making a big ass Arch cause I’m a sucker for architectural monuments, but holy shit the designs for it are terrible 💀
